170MHz 4-Channel DDS Signal Generator

The 409B generates four independent, phase synchronous sine wave output signals and is programmable in 0.1 Hz steps from 0.1 Hz to 171 MHz. Programming is via an RS232 serial interface. Phase is 14-bit programmable and amplitude is 10-bit programmable. Internal memory can store a sequence of settings. The -AC option is available to enable users to step through settings using an external trigger. It is accurate to 1.5 ppm using the on board TCXO timebase or you can use an external timebase, There is also a /R option that provides a way to lock to and track an external 10MHz frequency input. A line powered AC adapter and SOF8_409 windows software on a CD are included.

SIGLENT’s SDG7000A is a family of dual-channel Arbitrary Waveform Generators that feature up to 1 GHz bandwidth, a maximum sample rate of 5 GSa/s, and 14-bit vertical resolution. It can generate arbitrary waveforms point by point with a maximum 2.5 GSa/s sample rate and vector signals with a maximum of 500 MSa/s. It also has the ability to generate a variety of signals such as continuous wave, Pulse, Noise, PRBS patterns, and a 16-bit digital bus. It supports the generation of complex signals such as modulation, sweeping, bursting, and dual-channel copying/coupling/tracking and superposition. The outputs are user selectable for differential or single-ended connections and support a maximum output range of ± 24 V. The instrument can ensure a large amplitude under high-frequency which eliminates an external power amplifier in some applications and addresses a wider range of requirements.

Amplitude Detectors with Isolators
Full band waveguide detectors are GaAs beam lead Schottky diode-based detectors that are specially designed for millimeterwave network analyzer applications. With a proprietary circuitry design and careful diode selection, these zero-biased detectors exhibit high sensitivity and extremely flat output characteristics. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 18 to 170 GHz and offers a 1 MHz video bandwidth and 1 MΩ video output impedance. The standard models also have the capacity to handle a maximum RF input power of up to +17 dBm. The RF interface of these detectors is a standard waveguide with an integrated Faraday isolator to improve the port VSWR. Six-port hybrid devices have been used for microwave and millimeter-wave detection systems since the mid-1990s and are a key component for coherent receivers. In principle, the six-port device consists of linear dividers and combiners interconnected in such a way that four different vectorial additions of a reference signal (LO) and the signal to be detected are obtained.
