Weather Radar Receiver
This is an example of a custom four-channel C-Band Receiver uses a single conversion technique to translate incoming 5.56 GHz radar signals to a 60 MHz IF. The Receiver is divided into two polarization sections, each with a dedicated channel for the received signal and a second channel for a reference signal originatingfrom the transmitter. There are two identical circuits in the Receiver, one reserved for vertically polarized signals, and the second for horizontal signals.

The MCP9600 Breakout is a high accuracy Thermocouple Amplifier equipped with an I2C interface, accessed over our Qwiic system. Inside the chip are two temperature sensors, one for the thermocouple itself (the hot junction) and one for the chip itself (the cold junction). As a result, the MCP9600 can read both the ambient temperature and the temperature of whatever you're trying to measure! The MCP9600 can do both with a resolution of 0.0625°C, and an accuracy of ±1.5°C (worst-case). The MCP9600 Thermocouple Amplifier is one of our many Qwiic compatible boards! Simply plug and go. No soldering, no figuring out which is SDA or SCL, and no voltage regulation or translation required!

TMD37003 cRGB Color and Proximity Sensor

Fully integrated carrier board designed to get the most out of the TMD37003 cRGB (color with IR compensation) and Proximity Sensor from AMS. This means that the board includes a 1.8V-5V input range LDO and high-speed signal voltage translation on all IO pins. In addition, we've added a high output white LED that is tuned to the light temperature range of the TMD37003 IC. This makes sensing color of close-proximity objects possible, such as in robotic color sorting operations. As on many of our boards, we've included 4-40 sized mounting holes to make installation easy. The IC functions are interfaced via a 0.1" header, which includes power (Vdd and GND), I2C interface (again, fully translated) and a 3.3V input to power the proximity (IR) LED. The on-board LED is turned on with a logic 'HIGH' applied to the LED pin and is powered with Vdd.

When designing or upgrading avionics systems we are often faced with the task of integrating components that were not originally designed to work together.A control computer that communicates using RS-232 may need to control component that expects MIL-STD-1553 messages or an INS may put out ARINC-429 labels, which are needed by Multi function Display designed around RS-422.Faced with problems like these, integrators must choose between two poor options. They must either give up on one of the units in favor of another unit that may be less suitable but uses the appropriate communications spec; or they must add a computer system – often PC104 – which can translate from one unit to the other. These computers are generally large, heavy, hot, and require substantial power.

MAX31855 T-Type Thermocouple Arduino Shield

Four channel MAX31855 digital thermocouple Arduino Shield. Two versions of this shield are avaliable for each thermocouple type: either 'Ch 0-3' (CS pins use Uno/Mega IO pins 7-10) or 'Ch 4-7' (CS pins use Uno/Mega IO pins 3-6), with the only difference being which set of zero-ohm resistors are populated on the board. This allows use of other SPI devices that may be 'hard coded' to specific digital pins on the Arduino, or simply stacking one of each type together to get a total of eight thermocouple channels on one Arduino.Each order comes with one board and a set of four female, long extension, headers that can be soldered to the board. If stacking two of these modules on top of each other, please order both a Ch 0-3 and a Ch 4-7 board, as well as an additional set of headers for stacking. We're working on sourcing even longer headers, but the ones currently available are not long enough to stack as-is (they need to be double-stacked).The MAX31855T supports a measured temperature range of -270C-400C with known thermal characteristics and output resolution of 0.25C. Included thermocouple connectors are type-specific to provide proper material continuity as close to the IC as possible. Based on the TI TXB0108 auto-sensing, bi-directional level translator, this module provides access to all 8 channels of the TXB0108 and has a built-in 300mA LDO with 200mV max dropout voltage at full load. Regulated 3.3V output allows this single board to both interface withandpower 3.3V sensors. An important feature of this module is the ability to operate SPI and other digital lines (not including I2C) at high-speed, whereas the 'NXP level shifter' maxes out at 400kHz and resistor dividers fail much earlier.
