Operational Amplifiers
Op Amps
-
Operational amplifiers, known also as op amps, play a major role in analog signal conditioning applications. Invented by Karl Dale Swartzel Jr. in 1941, these products are largely used in today’s electronic devices.

Ultrafast Rectifiers
-
The ST rectifier diode designs deliver performance for applications with very different VF/Qrr trade-offs depending on targeted functions. The minimal power losses of the ST rectifiers range is totally adapted to mains rectification, bypass, boost, bootstrap, freewheel and HF rectification functions. Inside these generic functions, the topology evolution in e.g. resonance or multilevel is followed constantly by suited designs. Ultrafast rectifiers are belonging to the STPOWER family.

ESD Protection
-
Protection against electrostatic discharges (ESD) is part of EMC Immunity (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) requirements. It is the ability for equipment to properly operate in its electromagnetic environment by limiting the reception of electromagnetic energy that may cause physical damage. ESD can be either conducted under the form of a transient voltage or can be radiated due to its fast rising time: powerful harmonics will generate erratic behavior by the application by coupling with other signals. Printed circuit boards must be protected against the effects of electrostatic discharge.

Humidity Sensors
-
ST’s digital humidity and temperature sensor is based on a planar capacitance technology that integrates the temperature and humidity sensors in the sensing element.

RF Front-end
-
The RF integrated passive device (RF IPD) uses a high-resistivity substrate to integrate quality factor components such as capacitors and indictors. Many functions like impedance matching networks, harmonic filters, couplers, baluns, and power combiners/splitters can be designed using IPD technology. ST's IPDs are manufactured using thick film and HiRes Si or glass wafer manufacturing technology and photolithography processing.

Product
Thyristor Surge Suppressor (TSS)
-
When protecting parallel (double) circuit transmission lines, devices have two main functions in transient mode: clipping the voltage and drifting the current due to overload.

EMI Filters And Application-Specific Integrated Products (ASIP)
-
An electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter is used in electronic circuits to improve system immunity against unwanted external electromagnetic signals from neighboring circuits and to avoid emitting radiation (“noise”) that may disturb the same nearby circuits by canceling unwanted frequencies.

Bridge Rectifier Diodes
-
ST’s portfolio of bridge rectifier diodes is intended for primary bridges. In input primary bridge applications, ST's 1200V bridge diodes achieve very low conduction losses thanks to very low forward voltage characteristics. They can operate at up to +175 °C junction temperature, as a result of reduced leakage currents. Bridge rectifier diodes are belonging to the STPOWER family.
