FPA series driver amplifiers and power amplifiers are discrete and/or MMIC pHEMT device-based amplifiers that operate over the frequency range 18 to 110 GHz for high output power applications. The amplifiers are offered in two categories, standard and custom built up to 250 GHz.The custom-built amplifiers are offered in various RF interfaces, including standard waveguide or coaxial connectors, for convenient system integration. The optional input and output integrated isolators are available to further improve the port return loss.

RF amplifier bias controllers generate a regulated drain voltage and actively adjusts the gate voltage of an external amplifier to achieve constant bias current. It can be used to bias any enhancement and depletion type amplifier operating in Class-A regime with drain voltages (VDRAIN) as specified. The HV200/5 is a high-precision HV-amplifier designed for the control of tube scanners. It takes three input voltages In X, In Y and In Z (-10 V to + 10 V), amplifies them separately (input gain switches: x1, x2, x5, x10, x20) and adds an offset voltage between -10 V and +10 V. In a 2nd stage, the signal is amplified by a factor of 20. This enables its use as HV amplifier in scanning image acquisition applications, such as STM or AFM, with the capability to shift the scan range in high resolution imaging.

Power Amplifier is used to amplify the output of the CS700A or CS701 signal generators. The 52 MHz bandwidth amplifier can swing 36Vpp with an output current up to 1A continuous. The CS1070 includes an internal inverting power supply to provide the negative rail, simplifying power supply requirements. The gain is fixed at x10 (20dB). The output voltage range is ±5V to ±18V and asymmetrical to +31, -5V for PSRR measurements right up to 30V as the input supply increases past 20V.
