The Type NVF-2 series of handheld directional antennas are used to locate interfering signals or noise in either the 420 – 470 MHz (Type NVF-2A) or the 900 MHz ISM band or cellular telephone bands (Type NVF-2B). Both models incorporate a solid reflector positioned behind a resonated half wave driven element, both elements being mounted on a fiberglass rod with an integral pistol grip. The configuration of the reflector and driven element are such that a deep null in the signal being received will occur when the antenna is pointed in the direction of the signal being radiated. A T-pad resistive attenuator is also incorporated in the antenna mounting enclosure to aid in the direction finding process on very strong signals or when excessive reflections present multiple returns.

Pulsar Microwave's 5-way RF switches cover bands from 300 MHz to 12 GHz in both absorptive and reflective configuration. These SP5T switches have a rating of 200 mW maximum input power and a switching time of 100 ns. They are specified with a minimum isolation of 60 dB and most models maintain a VSWR of 1.6:1 or better on all ports. The SP5T switches are driven by TTL logic control circuitry and require both positive and negative 5-volt supplies for operation. A 9-pin D-SUB connector provides the interface for the power and logic voltages.

The glass thickness profiler GPM has the function to execute a fast and precise determination of the thickness profile of flat glass samples or another transparent material with a thickness range from 30µm to 700µm (option with sensor type 1) and width to 1200mm. The measuring point distance of the profile measurement can be varied over a micro-step-controlled positioning steering between 0.1mm and 1mm. The measured value accommodation for a scanning point takes place with the help of a special hardware module for image processing algorithms within 40 ms. The entire measuring time for a sample results thus as product from the sample width which has to be measured, the measuring point distance and the measuring time per measuring point.
