By means of the stripping device, the sample to be measured is prepared and afterwards positioned at the measuring point. The Colorette works according to the principle of reflection measurement. A ground coffee sample to be measured is illuminated with a white clock-pulsed LED. For colour value determination, the reflected light is thereby captured by a sensor. The determined colour value is afterwards indicated on the touch screen. The indication in different scales makes it possible to use the device flexibly and to adapt it individually to the requirements. Thanks to the improved components, the Colorette 4 is low-wear and guarantees most exact measuring results during the entire lifetime. The X005 Galvanic Isolation Amplifier provides a regulated and resistively limited +5V dc power supply required by the sensors, it can be connected in three or five wire modes. Used in five wire mode positive and negative sense inputs enable the X005 to dynamically adjust the sensor supply thus ensuring the correct voltage across the sensor. Connected in this way the X005 can compensate for 15 conductor resistance. The sense terminals are linked internally so the end user can use the X005 in three wire or five wire mode without the need to fit or remove external links.

The 4000B is our standard air-driven directional gyro. As the aircraft turns left or right, gears on the sensing unit and dial shaft translate this rotation into rotation of the instrument’s vertical dial. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation. The gyro is controlled by a heading selector knob located on the lower left of the instrument. Pressing and turning the knob first disengages the dial shaft and then resets the dial to a new heading, which results in a new course indication. Releasing the selector knob re-engages the dial shaft. The on-course position of the pointer is always at the top of the azimuth circle (0° on the dial with the aircraft headed north).

The Falco Systems WMA-02 is a high voltage amplifier that runs from an 24 - 30V DC power supply and can be battery powered if required, e.g. for use in a Faraday cage. Its internal high voltage generator is inductor-free and hence does not spread magnetic interference in sensitive experimental setups. The output noise is impressively low at 4mVrms. For extremely low noise applications where bandwidth is not an issue, a dedicated WMA-02LF version is available that contains an output low pass filter capacitor which reduces the bandwidth to 50Hz, but makes the noise drop to below 0.2mVrms. This bandwidth-limited amplifier is ideal for MEMS or piezo positioning with manual voltage adjustment.
