The Type HFX-1 Modulation Monitor is an ancillary piece of equipment, which is used with narrow bandwidth, or older oscilloscopes to allow viewing of RF signals and particularly modulated signals as high as 55MHz. The equipment contains an RF signal source and a broadband mixing circuit which converts the high frequency signal to an intermediate frequency within the oscilloscope’s range. The frequency control dial is simply adjusted until the RF signal is viewed on the scope. BNC connectors are mounted on the rear panel to allow interconnect to the scope and RF probe. This product was previously called "oscilloscope frequency extender" and may be used to view other high frequency signals on older or narrow band scopes.

Among other things, solar array simulators are required for testing satellite power supplies. An SAS (Solar Array Simulator), consisting of an interconnection of several Solar Array Simulator modules, maps the solar panels and displays the individual strings connected in parallel. Optionally, the individual SAS modules are monitored by a Second Level Protection, so that the test object is not damaged in case of errors with the voltage sources. Additional circuitry is implemented via project-specific test modules. The signal path to the DUT can be separated, e.g. for dynamic current measurements.The Keysight Solar Array Simulators used were specially developed for satellite applications and cover the significantly higher requirements regarding the control speed of MPP tracking compared to terrestrial applications.

The Keysight 34937A is a general-purpose switch module for the 34980A Multifunction Switch/Measure Unit. It has 28 independent single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) 1A relays and 4 single-pole, single-throw (Form A) 5A relays. This module is used to cycle power to products under test, control indicator and status lights, and to actuate external power relays and solenoids. The Form C channels are 300V, 1A contacts and can handle up to 60W, and the Form A channels are 30VDC/250VAC, 5A contacts and can handle up to 150W. Standard 50-pin Dsub connectors allow for use with standard cables, terminal blocks, or mass interconnect solutions.

Ironwood’s SMT package emulation adapters are often called “surface mount feet” or “emulator bases”. These adapters provide access and interconnections to surface mount lands. Typically, the adapters are soldered to the target board in place of the IC device and provide a pluggable array of pins interface for sockets, probing adapters, package converters, and even board-to-board connections. These adapters are often utilized as a base for many of our probing adapter products. We constantly innovate to provide the most reliable, cost effective interfaces available. For example, many of our PLCC, QFP and SOIC emulation bases use our proprietary shaped solder techniques, replacing expensive, and often fragile, J-lead and Gull Wing leads. Shaped solder parts are easily fluxed and reflowed onto the target system. Our emulator bases can present either a male or female interface at 1.27mm or 1mm or 0.8mm pitch gold plated array pins for pluggable connection.
