Sensor Bodies
The armature - assembled sensor body - is the central component of an inline photometer. We have already designed more than 1000 different sensor bodies and more than 50 types are always on stock. All optek inline sensor bodies are made from high quality materials and are machined with extreme precision. The quality-tested manufacturing tolerances allow optical path lengths of up to 1000 mm, for which the accuracy of the incoming and outgoing light beam is ensured by testing a laser-based coaxiality tolerance test to the reference axis. To cover a wide spectrum of different process conditions, optek sensor bodies can be manufactured from various materials (also for aggressive chemicals or with NACE MR 0175) and adapted with regards to:

Seismic Sensors & Transducers
Displacement Pickups are vibration transducers that incorporate a spring-mass system with eddy-current damping using a frictionless pivot. This pivot is a spring flexure that serves as the ‘spring’ and a moment arm attached to the pivot serves as the ‘mass’, which allows resolutions down to the micro inch range. At frequencies above 50Hz, the mass remains fixed in space and becomes an inertial reference. A transducer within the pickup senses the motion of the mounting base relative to the inertial reference and converts it into a proportional signal. Appropriate damping results in a frequency response flat down to 10 Hz. Note that the pickup senses in only one plane, which is perpendicular to the mounting base.

Wire Crimp Pull Sensor
Model MR06-200
The MR06-200 wire crimp pull sensor is a hand-operated solution for measuring wire crimp pull-off forces. The ergonomic handles and convenient tensioning mechanism make field measurements a breeze for applications up to 200 lbF (1,000 N). Squeeze the handles together to increase tension on the sample until a break occurs. The peak force is recorded by a Mark-10 indicator. A rotating turret with slots of multiple sizes accommodates a wide range of wire diameters, up to 0.25 in. (6.4 mm).

The compact EQ-30 Adjustable Range Reflective Photoelectric Sensor is only 68 x 20 x 40mm but delivers amazing performance. Normal Reflective Type Sensors operate by sensing the variation in the amount of incident beam. However, the Adjustable Range Reflective Sensing Type Sensors, incorporate a 2-segment photodiode to sense variation in the incident beam angle. Thus, the output is activated according to the distance of the object from the Sensor. This system helps the EQ-30 Series to be unaffected by object color or a background, enabling stable sensing. The robust housing offers IP67 protection allowing the EQ-30 Sensor to be used in the most demanding industrial environments.

SparkFun Distance Sensor

This SparkFun Distance Sensor Breakout utilizes the VL53L4CD next generation ToF (Time of Flight) sensor module to give you the highly accurate measurements at short ranges for its size. The VL53L4CD from STMicroelectronics uses a VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) to emit an infrared laser to time the reflection to the target. That means that you will be able to measure the distance to an object from 1mm to 1300mm away with millimeter resolution! To make it even easier to get your readings, all communication is enacted exclusively via I2C, utilizing our handy Qwiic system so no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1”-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard.
