Counters, Timers, And Ratemeters
ORTEC offers the broadest range of nuclear counters, timers, rate meters and multichannel scalers. Counters simply count the number of input pulses received during the counting period. Timers count pulses generated by an internal or external clock and are used to measure elapsed time, or to establish the length of the counting period. Rate meters provide a readout of the pulse count rate. Multichannel scalers count the number of events that occur during a specified time interval, referred to as the dwell time, resulting in a time-histogram of counts. “Standalone” and programmable computer controlled versions are available.

LED Meter Probe allows the user to take Real time Phase Angle readings along with AC nominal voltage readings. A PD800W LED Meter Probe works in conjunction with the Receive Unit to verify phase identification along with the actual phase angle data. This is all done without any calculations or data transfer from the field to a base computer. The meter probe and reference probe or receive unit can operate at 100 feet of separation and up to 300 feet line of sight separation. In the event that this distance would need to be greater, the Receive Unit can be unplugged from the charging cable and taken into the field while operating on it's rechargeable batteries for up to 8 hours at a time.

To avoid such an incident in the field, some of the relays have provision to receive IRIG-B RS485 signal. The IRIG-B RS485 signal can able travel up to 1200m without any booster. The Eastern OptX Series 1100 Radar Target Simulator is a true propagation path replicator. The Series 1100 receives the signal transmitted from a radar system and adds the round-trip propagation delay associated with the target distance. That signal is then output to the radar receiver. The radar I/O may be connected directly to the Series 1100 or detected and transmitted using user specified antenna. For a moving target the system will add the appropriate Doppler shift associated with the target speed and radar frequency.
