6 GHz, 80 MHz Bandwidth, RF and Baseband PXI Vector Signal Transceiver—The PXIe‑5645 combines a vector signal generator and vector signal analyzer with FPGA-based real-time signal processing and control into a single device, also known as a VST. Because of this software-designed approach, the PXIe‑5645 offers the flexibility of a software defined radio architecture with RF instrument class performance. The PXIe‑5645 features a high-performance, differential or single-ended baseband I/Q interface. This interface allows the PXIe‑5645 to address many additional applications, such as testing both the upconverted RF and downconverted baseband signals of a device with a single instrument.

I/Q and Image Reject Mixers
In-phase quadrature (I/Q) mixers and image reject mixers (IRM) offer a robust frequency mixing solution for applications that require high image rejection or sideband suppression. These mixers can be used as an upconverter or downcoverter. I/Q or IRM mixers use two double-balanced mixers with a 90° hybrid. Range-Doppler Target Generators
ATG9100
The ATG-9100 is an example of a laboratory-quality instrument that will simulate complex target motion. Microwave signals from the speed camera enter the instrument through an integrated antenna which is then downconverted and digitized. Target simulation data is added to the digitized signal to provide range and Doppler information. The modified digital data is then converted back to an IF and upconverted to the original microwave frequency of the speed camera and radiated back through the antenna. Since the ATG-9100 can be phase-locked to an external 10 MHz reference standard, this instrument is suitable for use as a calibration standard for speed cameras.
