Its lockout circuitry prevents both radios from selecting the same antenna. (The 6x1 type of SixPak is now replaced by our RatPak remote 6 way antenna switch.)The usual set-up has one SixPak dual rotary control box, which is manually operated from the radios positions. The control box for the 6x2 contains two rotary switches and 12 LEDs, so the operator can see which antennas are selected.

The stacked Logarithmic Periodic Dipole Antenna consists of two ordinary Log.-Per. structures. The excellent characteristics (flat gain over a large bandwidth, low SWR) of the ordinary Log.-Per. designs could be maintained using the stacked LP design. The stacked design helps to focus the directional pattern of the H-plane somewhat, resulting in a typical gain improvement of ca. 2-3 dB compared to an ordinary LPDA. This is especially important for immunity testing, where a maximum fieldstrength and a good field uniformity is required. The beamwidth in the E-plane and the H-plane are nearly identical, providing an optimised illumination of the EuT with minimised ground reflection influence. Further the STLP 9128 C has an excellent cross-polar rejection.

GPS221 is a two way, passive, GPS signal splitter ideal for splitting a GPS antenna signal between two receivers while providing a DC current path to power a remotely located active GPS antenna from one receiver while blocking the DC path from the other. Furnished with TNC female connectors all ports. A special feature of this unit is the 200 ohm internal load which provides a current drain for the GPS receiver not powering the active antenna. Some GPS receivers incorrectly sense an antenna fault when there is no current draw. The 200 ohm internal load provides a simulated antenna current drain which prevents receiver faulting. Max voltage rating at the DC blocked port is 15 VDC; maximum current rating is 75 mA. Max voltage rating at the DC pass port is 50 VDC; max current rating is 2000 mA.

Active Monopole Antenna

The 41 inch Monopole antenna is required for making electric field emission measurements below 60 MHz per Military standards (MIL-STD-461) and FAA (DO-160) specifications. This antenna is for emissions measurements only. It cannot be used for transmitting. The Active Monopole antenna is generally used in a shielded room or in a screen room, with the equipment under test (EUT) placed on a metal ground plane. The 41 inch rod and the ground plane behave electrically as though a mirror image of the rod were located below the ground, and the ground removed. Since the stainless steel plate does not have enough surface area to mirror the entire 41 inch rod, it is bonded to the surrounding ground plane during use. The AM-741 is battery powered to prevent measurement errors that maybe caused by external power cables. The ANSI equivalent capacitance substitution (ECSM) method is the recommended method for calibrating AM-741 monopole antenna. The individual calibration data will be included with each antenna.

Measurements are represented graphically as VSWR or Return Loss plots. The built in PLL synthesized generator offers a superior accuracy with small step size. Analog Devices offers a broad line of series voltage references with low dropout, low power, and excellent line regulation. These devices are voltage references that are functionally similar to a three-terminal regulator. Some series voltage references are designed to also operate in shunt mode by biasing the output pin and leaving the input pin open circuit. Series mode voltage references have the advantage that they draw only load and quiescent current from the input supply.
