PD5980 is an IP67 outdoor, weather resistant, DC blocking, eight way, RF broadband, 50 ohm, power divider, power combiner furnished with TNC coaxial connectors. The passive Wilkinson design passes RF, 10 MHz and DC current through one port, typically for powering an active antenna, with the other ports blocking DC. Max voltage rating at the DC blocked ports is 50 VDC. All wireless band applications in the frequency range from 698 to 2700 MHz are covered with best in class RF performance. The RoHS compliant PD5980 is a bidirectional device capable of 40 W max microwave input power level in both power splitter and combiner apps. Unlike a power meter that measures average or instantaneous Watts or Joules of the overall laser beam, knowing how the power is distributed within the beam is equally as important. As an example, if you want to cut something the power should generally be focused in the center of the beam to concentrate the power density in a very small area but if you were trying to weld something with all the power in the center you would poke a hole in the weld; requiring the power to be equally distributed as in a top hat profile.
