RF Detectors for Millimeter Wave
RF Detectors are essential microwave/millimeter wave products for most Tx (transmit sources). Transmitter output power measurement is the main application. It is essential to know the RF output power because the output power level must not go above values set by FCC regulations. The unit of power is the watt for RF detectors. But, most commonly used in most RF and wireless systems to express power is the terms of dBm or decibels related to 1 mW:View more RF Detector

Bulk Acoustic Wave Technology
BAW
Macom Technology Solutions Holdings Inc.
MACOM’s BAW product portfolio is ideal for high performance Industrial, Aerospace, Defense, and Communications applications that require critical frequency filtering. Our high-performance RF filters enable our customers manage signal integrity in the 1 to 6 GHz frequency range. Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators consist of two metal electrodes above and below a layer of a piezoelectric material. The piezoelectric material converts an electrical signal to a mechanical signal and vice versa. The metal electrodes provide the connections to/from the piezo material. The frequency at which resonance occurs depends on the thickness of the combined metal-piezo-metal stack. Advances in thin-film piezoelectric fabrication have enabled BAW resonators to meet RF filtering challenges up to 6000 MHz using standard MEMS fabrication process. High-performance BAW resonators-based RF filters are made of piezoelectric material having high Q-factor (>3000) and high coupling coefficient. Currently, no competitive technology provides the same high performance for RF filter applications when compared to BAW resonator-based RF filter up to 6000 MHz for the same size and cost.

Motion Based Waves
Accurate Motion Based wave measurements are critical in applications such as offshore wind farm development, navigation, cable laying, breakwater building, and bridge construction.Waves also result in continuous loads on marine structures, including docks, moorings, and offshore platforms.Motion Based Waves are challenging to measure. Variables to consider when collecting wave data include the depth of the measuring device, proximity to shore, wave types, and available infrastructure from which to measure.Several methods for measuring motion based waves are available, and careful selection of the best approach is needed to get the optimal result.
