Latching relays also feature unchanged status even when the system powered off, making the PCIe-7256 suitable for critical applications requiring output status to be maintained even under fault conditions. All digital input channels are non-polar and optically isolated, and may be set for optional use of RC filter. The PCIe-7256 also features a change-of-state (COS) function generating interrupt when any digital input changes state.

A precision 10 VDC voltage that can be used for transducer excitation is available at connector pin 5. As much as 60 mA current can be provided. It is packaged in a NEMA 4 enclosure for remote installation in harsh environments. RAD242 also provides a user-definable interrupt input and counter/timer input. An optional RAD Firmware Development Kit is available if you wish to use those user-programmable input lines or to develop a custom program.

CAN (Controller Area Network) communication has become ubiquitous in industry. It is used in automotive applications (part of OBD and many other datalinks), on-highway trucks (J1939), industrial machinery and instrumentation, and equipment applications (factory automation). This shield is designed to provide a CAN 2.0 front-end interface for 5V Arduino modules (Uno, Mega, etc). The module uses SPI to communicate to the Arduino, and requires an aditional chip select pin. An optional interrupt line to the MCP2515 and two LEDS are also provided. The chip select and interupt lines are selected via zero ohm resistors and have several configuration options for flexibility stacking additional shields. A set of stackable headers is included with this board, not installed. An optional on-board voltage regulator may be used to supply 7.5V to the Arduino's 'Vin' pin (which is regulated to 5V by the Arduino's on-board LDO). The CAN shield regulator supports a wide input range of 9V to 32V. This makes it possible to cleanly build a stand-alone CAN node (remote sensor) without the need for a separate Arduino power supply!

The Keysight N1231B PCI Three-Axis Laser Board with External Sampling is a register based PCI bus board that implements three axes of laser interferometer measurement for position monitoring and closed-loop servo control. There are four external sample inputs along with four data hold inputs that allow easy synchronization with user systems. Several threshold compare registers, with both hardware outputs and interrupt capability, can be used for travel limit and in window or out of window detection functions. The dual mode hardware position outputs, controlled by the hold inputs, provide either a 32-bits/axis parallel interface or a 36-bit multiplexed interface to the 36-bit axis position data at rates up to 20MHz. The user can programmatically access the externally sampled position and velocity data, as well as software sampled position and velocity data, over the PCI bus at rates up to 100kHz (3 axes of position and velocity) or 200kHz (position or velocity only).
