Lens Antennas
A lens antenna is a directional antenna that uses a shaped piece of microwave-transparent material to bend and focus microwaves by refraction, as an optical lens does for light.[1] Typically it consists of a small feed antenna such as a patch antenna or horn antenna which radiates radio waves, with a piece of dielectric or composite material in front which functions as a converging lens to collimate the radio waves into a beam.[2] Conversely, in a receiving antenna the lens focuses the incoming radio waves onto the feed antenna, which converts them to electric currents which are delivered to a radio receiver. They can also be fed by an array of feed antennas, called a focal plane array (FPA), to create more complicated radiation patterns.

The AWS-0101 is a highly integrated silicon quad core IC intended for radar and 5G phased array applications. The device supports four radiating elements, single beam transmit, and dual beam receive and includes all requisite beam steering controls for 6 bit phase and gain control. The device provides 21 dB gain during transmit mode, +15 dBm output power during transmit, and 3.4 dB NF during receive. Additional features include gain compensation over temperature, temperature reporting, and fast beam switching using eight on-chip beam weight storage registers. The device features ESD protection on all pins, operates from a +1.8V supply, and is packaged in a 56 lead 7x7 QFN for easy installation in planar phased array antennas.

The SENresearch 4.0 is the new SENTECH spectroscopic ellipsometer. Every individual SENresearch 4.0 spectroscopic ellipsometer is a customer-specific configuration of spectral range, options and field upgradable accessories. SENresearch 4.0 uses fast FTIR ellipsometry for the NIR up to 2,500 nm or 3,500 nm, respectively. It provides broadest spectral range with best S/N ratio and highest, selectable spectral resolution. Silicon films up to 200 µm thickness can be measured. The measurement speed of FTIR ellipsometry compares to diode array configurations, which are also selectable up to 1,700 nm. The new motorized Pyramid Goniometer features an angle range from 20 deg to 100 deg. Optical encoders ensure highest precision and long term stability of angle settings. The spectroscopic ellipsometer arms can be moved independently for scatterometry and angle resolved transmission measurements.

The A2T is a single axis, digital gravity angle sensor. The A2T serves as a full 360 range absolute tilt sensing programmable level with either digital or analog output. Internally, a rotary bar coded disk is mounted to a weighted gravity driven wheel. A micro-controller strobes an LED to transfer the bar code image onto an optical linear array, then decodes the position every 2 mSec. Magnetic damping provides fast response and settling time while virtually eliminating overshoot and oscillations. An internal EEPROM stores field programmable parameters such as resolution, zero position, direction swap, and mode. This second generation design virtually eliminates the primary accuracy limitation of first generation inclinometers, which is sitation (hysteresis).
