The device offers a wide range of output options, as standard and is suitable for use in SIL 2 applications. The detector can be configured to communicate with a wide range of fire panels, controllers, and PLCs and offer HART 7 and Syntel (Lonworks) protocols for addressable event monitoring. The devices come standard with a configurable 4-20mA or 0-22mA (PLC) output, two configurable alarm relays, and two detector status LEDs.All MultiFlame detectors are equipped with a continuous optical lens auto-check to ensure that the optical path is clear and that the detector functions properly. Sensors can be replaced easily in the field without removing any cable glands. An optional Sentinel SiteWatch provides remote access to system data via Ethernet or cellular communication. Operating on an integrated battery supply the buoy has been applied for the following projects:Wireless data-transfer from sensors on a submerged wreck to a control office on a nearby ship. Multiple incline and acceleration sensors were placed on the wreck and connected by wire to the bottom of the buoy, the data was gathered and wireless transferred over more than 100 meters.Wireless video transfer from a camera to follow the activities of a diver on a fixed object. Sometimes your sensors or the piece of equipment you are trying to control is not in a convenient place to have a PC close by. The sensors may be widely distributed through out your plant and it just wouldn’t be cost effective to run all your wiring to where the PC is. In addition, low level signals are more accurately acquired when digitized close to the signal source. In all these cases our REMOTE ACCES line of products will help. The REMOTE ACCES pods are intelligent, sensor to computer interfaces. Each pod can be used as an autonomous data logger to acquire data for later download. Or as many as 31 pods may be connected on a single two wire multidrop RS-485 network allowing a cable distance of up to 4000 ft. You can also go wireless and extend your range by adding RS-485 wireless transceivers to your serial port.
