Current Transformers
The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers defines a current transformer (IEEE Std C57.13) as “a transformer intended to reproduce in its secondary circuit, in a definite and known proportion, the current of its primary circuit with the phase relations substantially preserved”. Its primary winding is connected in series with the conductor carrying the current to be measured or to be controlled and its secondary winding is connected to the measuring, protection or control devices. Osborne designs and manufactures current transformers which are used for instrumentation applications, others which are used for power system synchronizing applications and others which are used in protection circuit application. They have been designed to meet specified current ratios, burden impedance and transformation errors.

Non-steady-state probe for thermal conductivity measurement

TP02 is a probe that offers the possibility to perform a practical and fast measurement of the thermal conductivity (or thermal resistivity) of the medium in which it is inserted at the highest accuracy level. It works in compliance with the ASTM D 5334-00, D 5930-97 and IEEE 442-1981 standards. The standard TP02 probe has proven suitability in soils, thermal backfill materials, sediments, foodstuff, powders, sludges, paints, glues and various other materials. The Non-Steady-State Probe (NSSP) measurement method (also known as transient line source, thermal needle, hot needle, heat pulse- and hot wire technique) has the fundamental advantages that it is fast and absolute while the sample size is not critical. Hukseflux is specialised in NSSP design. Special models have been developed for in-situ field experiments. For permanent installation in soils, a dedicated model, TP01, is available. TP02 has been designed and tested in collaboration with the Applied Physics Group of Wageningen University.

The PCIe-FIW62 is an IEEE 1394b (FireWire 800) interface card which provides two high-speed FireWire 800 ports with data transfer rates up to 800 Mb/s on a PCI ExpressR x1 lane. The PCIe-FIW62 provides two direct-connect IEEE 1394b bilingual connectors with a screw-lock mechanism. These screw-lock connectors provide a reliable connection between the PCIe-FIW62 and up to two IEEE 1394b cameras. A 4-pin ATX power connector on the PCIe-FIW62 supports IEEE 1394b cameras that draw power directly from the frame grabber. Each port has a green LED on the front panel that will illuminate when the PCIe-FIW62 is connected to a IEEE 1394b camera for convenient identification of channel connection status.

The battery capacity test is performed to determine the health of a battery. DV Power’s battery load unit BLU-A is a portable, powerful, and lightweight solution for battery capacity measurement. It is applicable to any battery string such as lead-acid, Li-Ion, Ni-Cd, etc., with up to 500 V battery voltage. As a special feature, BLU100L model enables the capacity testing of a single Li-Ion cell.The capacity test is performed in an accurate and user-friendly way. Also, it is in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.Battery load unit BLU-A enables setting discharge currents up to 240 A, with a resolution 0,1 A. Furthermore, if higher currents are required, BLU-A units can be connected in parallel, or additional BXL load units can be used.The instrument offers the best power-to-weight ratio in the market. A 4,3-inch touch screen display shows battery voltage, current, elapsed time, and capacity during the entire test. Also, BLU battery load unit can be used with DV-B Win software. As a result of that, a user can see a detailed numerical and graphical presentation of key parameters and can create reports in various formats.Testing with BLU-A doesn’t require a disconnection of the battery from the testing equipment.

The SST-LV is a Plug & Play Smart TEDS IEEE 1451.4 compliant Transmitter. Just plug in a TEDS compatible Load Cell or Torque Sensor and the SST-LV will automatically self-calibrate. When used with a non-TEDS Load Cell or Torque Sensor, the SST-LV Transmitter is easily programmed using a PC with an RS232 port and Instrument Setup (IS) software, which provides a graphical user interface. The SST-LV may be powered from 12-30 Vac or 10-48 Vdc. The SST-HV Has an Isolated transducer excitation output that is selectable between 5Vdc or 10Vdc. There are Dual solid state relays and an Isolated 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or 0-10V analog output. There are three Isolated serial data transmitter output ( RS232 , Half-duplex RS485, full-duplex RS485 ) and three serial protocols that are software selectable (Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Custom ASCII). Isolation to 250V rms is provided for power, signal input, analog output, relay outputs, and communications. Isolation adds safety and avoids possible ground loops. The transducer excitation output is isolated to 50V from signal ground.
