Displacement Transducers
Procter & Chester Measurements Ltd
Pressure: Measures gas or liquid pressure. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from expanding. The transducer generates a signal from the pressure imposed upon it. Torque: Measures the torque (or twisting motion) on a static or rotating system. The static torque element has little movement and therefore more economic to manufacture and purchase. Rotary or dynamic torque is more complicated as the signal needs to be transferred using slip rings, wireless telemetry or rotary transformers/inductance technology so that the strain gauged shaft can continuously rotate. Displacement: Measures distance. The displacement transducers that PCM offer are slightly different to standard units. They have a strain gauge/wheatstone bridge. The benefit here is that if the customer has existing electronics that uses strain gauge/load cell technology, they can use them with these sensors.

AWD Dynamometer
MD-AWD-150 Series
Full time AWD vehicles are designed to provide maximum performance regardless of road conditions. In cases where traction is less than ideal, a vehicle may be designed to improve stability and traction at the expense of power. This means adding torque to a spinning wheel or retarding of timing. In order to properly test an AWD vehicle for peak performance, an AWD chassis dynamometer must be able to simulate ideal road-load conditions to the vehicle.

Cycle-ATV Dynamometers
EC997
The EC997 Series, our standard eddy current motorcycle chassis dynamometer, takes motorcycle performance tuning to the next level. The EC997 Series uses the industry’s most advanced electronics and Dynamic Load Control technology, featuring precision closed-loop torque feedback – a standard feature with every EC997 dyno. Competitor’s dynos on the market allow you to apply “percent % load” but Mustang has perfected the art and science of Dynamic Load Control and proudly offer the most sophisticated Dynamic Load Control dynamometer available at any price. Our superior control technology combined with our ultra-low inertia design allows you to precisely control loading to hold the engine at each RPM. Try doing that with a heavy drive roller and insufficient control technology – you simply cannot! Mustang has delivered thousands of performance dynamometer systems over the past 35 years and has perfected the art and science of dynamic vehicle loading and dynamometer control. We include each motorcycle make and model in our database including weight and drag coefficients so you can simulate the track right on the dyno! While other dyno manufactures are still trying to catch up with our technology, Mustang continues to lead the industry and is recognized around the world as the industry’s best with regards to dynamic dynamometer controls. Mustang has built racing dynos for Harley-Davidson as well as several end of production line testing cells for Harley-Davidson, Honda, and Polaris.

Break-Over Wrenches
TB
The TB is a small torque wrench with a fixed head. The versatile preset wrench is available with different head configuration options, like open end, box end, flare end, hex key end or ratchet head. TB models are designed to have one permanent head style attached to it. When the TB torque wrench achieves torque, the head breaks-over signaling to the operator to stop applying torque to the fastener or bolt. Break-over torque wrenches improve control of the fastening process by reducing the risk of both over and under tightening.

2WD Dynamometers
MD-500-SE XL
The 500 series dynamometer has a larger big brother – the MD-500-SE XL! The 500-SE is an excellent 2WD performance dynamometer and the XL model expands on these traits by adding in a much wider 98-inch outer track and a HUGE mechanical flywheel to increase the mechanical inertia of the dyno to about 2,000-lbs. This additional inertia helps reduce the duty cycle burden on the eddy current PAU and even allows for pulls to be done in a pinch in inertia-only mode. The XL handles vehicles like diesels and Ford Raptors where the 500 is a bit too narrow for these types of applications. The MD-500 XL’s multiple upgrade paths allows for an AWD upgrade in the future and enables it to accept a second eddy current PAU for increased loading capability. We’ve seen this dyno handle almost 2,000-hp to the wheels on power sweeps so don’t be fooled by the 1,500-hp peak measurement specification. If your tires will hook you can measure as much power as you are laying to the rollers. The large K250 eddy current PAU has plenty of torque for testing and tuning anything from your local diesel pickup crowd and local LS guys to classic carb stuff and front wheel drive cars. The 500-XL is great product at a great price with tons of range. It is also easy to install – buy the aboveground kit with the 16-ft ramps and have this dyno set up and ready to roll in your shop in a half a day! if you want to know more call us! We are always happy to answer questions.
