Automotive EMC Testing
Having been assessed by Ford Detroit’s EMC expert, we are Australia’s only Ford (and NATA) accredited automotive EMC test laboratory. Others have tried, but none have succeeded. Ford does not accept reports from EMC labs that are not on the Ford list of accredited labs. The scope ranges from component to complete vehicle level EMC testing for Australian and overseas manufacturers. We also have a fully dedicated CISPR 25 Electronic Sub Assembly (ESA) chamber, another large CISPR 25 anechoic chamber for vehicle testing or susceptibility levels in excess of 500V/m. We possess a vast array of specific automotive EMC test equipment such as BCI’s, tri-plate’s, and striplines for susceptibility and emissions testing to meet the most stringent automotive EMC requirements. The R&S®TS8996 RSE test system is designed for EMI and radiated spurious emission testing on wireless devices in semi-anechoic or fully anechoic chambers. The modular design makes it easy to extend the system to include new communications technologies. Typical devices under test include mobile phones or radio sets along with radiated measurements of other short-range devices. Standards require a wide range of test setups and a wide and high frequency range (up to 40 GHz). ESW or FSW frequency ranges are extended up to 325 GHz with option B21 using receive units TC-RSE for 5G FR2. Dedicated RSE test routines are also covered for this frequency range.

Pre-Selectors for EMC test
These Pre-Selectors are high specification, switched band filters which track the scanning of the EMC Analyser. Control is via USB link from the Laplace EMCEngineer software supplied with SA1002 and SA3000 analysers. Installation and operation is completely automatic, and the filters will synchronise with the analyser scan without any operator intervention. A front panel switch allows manual operation if required.
