The IIB-3910-VXI is message based intelligent interface card for dual redundant 3910 and 3838 applications. It gives full 3910 and 3838 test, simulation and bus analysis capability on the VXI bus, providing 3910, 3838 1553A, and 1553B variants in a single card. Each channel supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with passive Bus Monitor, and an independent Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM). Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. The unit provides dual redundant prEN3715 compatible 3910 interface, with variable amplitude dual redundant 3838 interfaces. External trigger-in and trigger-out are provided, with both Primary and secondary bus coupling for direct and stub bus, with access to internal 1553 bus, on the front panel.

The GX3788 is a user configurable, FPGA-based, 3U PXI multi-function card which supports digital and analog test capabilities. The card employs the Altera Stratix III FPGA which features over 45,000 logic elements and 1.836 Kb of memory. The GX3788 is based on the GX3700 FPGA card and includes an integral daughter board which provides (8) differential input, 16-bit, 250 MS/s A to D converters and (8), 16-bit, 1 MS/s, D to A converters. The module's FPGA is pre-programmed, providing access to all digital and analog functions. Alternatively, users can program or modify the FPGA , allowing user to adapt the module to their own specific test needs. The design of the FPGA is done by using Altera's free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the configuration file can be loaded into the FPGA directly or via an on-board EEPROM.

These cards can be installed in any 5-volt PCI-bus computer that can accommodate "long" cards and are designed to provide effective communication on long communication lines in noisy environments. The data lines are opto-isolated from the computer and from each other to assure communication even when large common mode noise and voltages are superimposed. Type 16550 UARTs are used. These include a 16-byte transmit/receive FIFO buffer to insure against lost data in multitasking operating systems. All ports are independently addressable and an on-board crystal-controlled oscillator permits precise selection of baud rates up to 115,200 baud or, by changing a jumper, up to 460,800 baud.
