Spectrum data can be acquired by guiding measurement light into a mini-spectrometer through an optical fiber and transferring the measured results to a PC via the USB connection. The incorporation of a high-sensitivity CMOS image sensor maintains high sensitivity equivalent to that of a CCD and achieves low power consumption. The D200 is a compact, DC-coupled fast laser driver, providing up to 4 amps of regulated constant current. A built-in edge-triggered pulse generator produces up to 1 microsecond pulse widths and 2 nanosecond transition times, capable of driving lasers with forward voltages up to 9 volts. The optional Chamber Task measures the Pulse Polarization response and Small Signal Capacitance of a Pyroelectric material that is being heated and/or cooled within a thermal chamber, on a hot chuck or in a furnace. From these measurements the Spontaneous Polarization Pr(q) and the Dielectric Constant er(q) are computed. These are then combined to determine the Electrical Displacement D(q) as a function of the temperature q.

The purpose of Pyroshock (pyrotechnic shock) testing is to simulate the high-frequency, high-magnitude shock pulse experienced by an explosive event (such as an impact on a military tank or an explosive deployment charge). Pyroshock testing can expose failures in electronic components that are sensitive to high-frequency pyroshock energy. Common failures include: relay and crystal oscillator chatter, detachment of larger components from the circuit board, hard failures of small circuit components, and the dislodging of contaminants, which cause short circuits.
