3-Component Quartz Force Rings And Links
Three-component dynamic force sensors are offered in both ICP® and charge output configurations for dynamic and quasi-static force measurement applications. Each utilizes an array of precision aligned, quartz sensing crystals. Measurements along the z-axis are proportional to applied compression, tension and impact forces. Measurements along the x and y axes are proportional to shear forces that are imposed upon preloaded crystals by the test fixture.

ICP® Shock Accelerometers
Piezoelectric ICP® accelerometers afford a very high signal output (+/- 5 volts full scale) and the ease of two-wire electrical connectivity. Their inherent ruggedness enables them to be severely over ranged without damage. The addition of internal mechanical isolation minimizes the high frequency stress that would otherwise be encountered by their ceramic sensing elements. This mechanical isolation, coupled with an internal 2-pole electrical filter, built into the ICP® circuitry, tailors the overall accelerometer response to assure data quality to frequencies as high as 10 kHz. Depending on the specific model, accelerations in excess of 50 kg can be successfully measured. These modern designs, with their internal elastomeric isolation materials are verified through calibration to remain dynamically linear and are enabling piezoelectric accelerometers to operate in increasingly severe acceleration environments.

Low Noise Prepolarized Microphone
378A04
The 378A04 is a matched system that is comprised of a high sensitivity microphone and a low noise preamplifier that contains a built-in filter that enables the free-field response to remain flat over a wide frequency range. The system requires a minimum of 4 mA and measures to 6.5 dBA (5.5 dBA typical) within a cost efficient, prepolarized (0V) design. PCB's model 378A04, the industry's first prepolarized low noise microphone and preamplifier system allows you to measure extremely low amplitudes. In the past this was only possible with externally polarized solutions. With a typical noise floor of 5.5dBA, this microphone system delivers all of the benefits commonly associated with prepolarized systems.

Industrial ICP® Strain Sensors
For Process Monitoring/Quality Control. The Industrial ICP® Strain Sensors incorporate piezoelectric quartz sensing crystals that respond to a longitudinal change in distance. The resultant strain measurand is an indirect measurement of stress forces acting along the structure to which the sensor is mounted. As such, these devices can provide insight into the behavior of mechanical systems or processes that generate an associated machinery reaction.

Ground Isolated ICP® Pressure Sensors For High Frequency
PCB® Series 102B is a ground isolated version of the Series 113B. These sensors have all of the same features and benefits of the 113B Series, plus the added benefit of isolation, which helps prevent ground loop problems. This series can accommodate an optional ablative coating (Prefix: CA) to protect the diaphragm from thermal shock in flash-temperature applications.
