This entry-level instrument has been designed for an ease of use and for a good productivity together with a strong protection against misuse. This very robust device has proven to be reliable even in very cold weather (up to -40°C) or in wet environment. It is able to inject up to 2200W in the soil and to inject up to 13A, so that it is suitable, even on conductive soils, to measure resistivity and IP at medium range depths. It is powered by standard generator.

This software inverts resistivity and IP data acquired with electrodes arranged in boreholes and/or on the surface and presents a 3D volume of inverted resistivity data with advanced volume rendering technique. The final resistivity or IP image-volume can be rotated in any orientation, zoomed in and out, and translated to anywhere inside the image window in order to see the volume of interest in detail. The unit is compact and lightweight. The basic system is 7″ wide by 2.5″ high and 12″ long. When measurements are needed below approximately 100 micro-ohm-centimeters, the basic system is piggybacked onto a second enclosure that houses a power amplifier with a current gain of ten. The combined unit measures 7″ wide by 5″ high and 12″ long. The combined unit weighs 11.5 pounds. Two short cables interconnect the two enclosures for powering the power amplifier and routing the signals to the fixture or four point probe.
