256 Digital Input/Output Channels
CP387
The C387 is a single-width, 6U, CompactPCI module with up to 256 digital input/output channels. The C387 base board supports 128 channels of TTL I/O. Four mezzanine card sites can be populated with other forms of digital I/O including isolated input, isolated output, relay output, AC switch output or differential I/O. The mezzanine card concept allows multiple digital I/O types to be configured within a single module to match the application requirements.

This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

Modbus RTU Analog Input Modules
The Datexel range of Modbus RTU analog input cards for both RS485 and RS232 with Modbus or ASCII protocol can be combined with the DAT9000 series of Modbus Masters. Model RAD242 is an intelligent, two-differential-channel, 24-bit analog-input interface unit that includes a Delta-Sigma A/D converter. The converter has a digital output filter with adjustable notch frequency from 10 Hz to 2000 Hz. The pod also has 13 bits of digital input/output. A precision 10 VDC voltage that can be used for transducer excitation is available at connector pin 5. As much as 60 mA current can be provided. It is packaged in a NEMA 4 enclosure for remote installation in harsh environments. RAD242 also provides a user-definable interrupt input and counter/timer input. An optional RAD Firmware Development Kit is available if you wish to use those user-programmable input lines or to develop a custom program.
