Optically Isolated Measurement System
IsoVu
IsoVu offers complete galvanic isolation and is the industry’s first measurement solution capable of accurately resolving high bandwidth, low voltage differential signals in the presence of large common mode voltages. The stand out feature of IsoVu™ is its best in class common mode rejection across the entire bandwidth. Accurate differential measurements rely on a measurement system’s bandwidth, rise time, common mode voltage, common mode rejection capability, and the ability to connect to smaller test points to characterize devices that are shrinking in size and increasing in performance. Despite these requirements, advancements in test and measurement for power testing, EMI testing, ESD testing, and remote measurement capability have been minimal at best and have not kept pace with changing requirements. While differential voltage probes have had modest performance gains in regard to bandwidth, these probes have failed to make any substantial improvements in regard to common mode rejection, and connectivity. High Voltage Differential Probes

DC Voltmeter
DC Voltmeter is used for measuring DC voltage coming to the input channels of ADC modules and FFT spectrum analyzers. The indicator displays the DC voltage mean value and root-mean-square deviation (RMSD) from the mean value of the selected channel signal. It is possible to change the averaging of the displayed value (0.1; 1, or 10 s) and to select a necessary channel of the ADC module and FFT spectrum analyzer or a virtual channel.

Differential Voltage Probes

The DP differential isolation probes are an important accessory for any laboratory involved in power electronics and high voltage systems. These probes allow isolated and floating measurements with any oscilloscope or data recorder, whilst the oscilloscope can remain grounded. Using a DP150 or DP200pro probe, differential and floating measurements can be made on a variety of ac power systems like 230V/110V ac input power supplies, chopped and switching power supplies, thyristor controllers, variable speed motor drives (PWM signals), motor inrush current and measurement across current shunts. The isolated input is made via two 4mm/banana safety sockets. The BNC output allows easy connection to an oscilloscope. The DP probes can be powered from a 9V battery or external power supply.

Polarity Tester

The PT-1 provides a simple and easy way to determine the relative polarity of coil windings. It allows for an in-process test that takes a minimum of time to perform. By placing a coil on the platform and making connection to the start and end of a winding, a test signal is induced in the winding. The induced signal is low level and completely safe for the operator. By comparing the test signal phase of the coil under the test output, the relative polarity is indicated by the Red/Green LED. The tester operates by inducing a signal voltage in the coil under test by means of a magnetic flux field. The field is generated by a coil located in the probe base. The coil configuration is designed to provide optimum field distribution. We have also applied this basic circuit to a 5-channel scanning unit.
