MIPI Camera Serial Interface

Arasan provides a Total MIPI CSI-2 IP Solution supporting two options: MIPI CSI-2 v1.2 for D-PHY physical interface only, and MIPI CSI-2 v1.3 for the new MIPI C-PHY v1.0 and D-PHY v.1.1, v1.2, and a future v2.0. Arasan offers the C-PHY in a combination configuration that supports both C-PHY interfaces and D-PHY interfaces. Our implementation makes efficient use of the high frequency signally pins for a minimal overhead to support both physical interfaces.

It is based on AR1820HS – an 18MP CMOS Image sensor from Aptina™ / ON Semiconductor® and has a dedicated, high-performance Image Signal Processor chip (ISP) on-board that performs all the Auto functions (Auto White Balance, Auto Exposure control) in addition to complete image signal processing pipeline that provides best-in-class images and video and the optional MJPEG compression. Though the AR1820HS is an 18MP image sensor, the e-CAM130_CUMI1820_MOD supports only up to 13MP resolution.

The e-CAM58_MI5680_MOD is a 1/3.2" optical format, 5MP RAW MIPI Camera Module based on OmniVision's OV5680 CMOS image sensor and it provides RAW Bayer format image output through its 2-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface. Combined with the 1.75 micron pixel size and the OmniVision's OmniBSI-2 pixel technology, this autofocus camera module provides best-in-class sensitivity and excellent noise performance. RFFE
Mobile phone radios have developed into highly complex, multi-band and multi-standard designs that often have multiple radio frequency (RF) signal chains. The MIPI Alliance Specification for RF Front-End Control Interface (RFFE) was developed to offer a common and widespread method for controlling RF front-end devices. The RFFE Master IP core typically resides in the RFIC in a mobile platform, and utilizes the RFFE bus to identify, program and monitor the registers in RF front end Slave devices through programmed IO. It is designed to support existing standards such as LTE, UMTS, HSPA and EGPRS, and is usable in configurations ranging from single Master/single Slave to multi-Master/multi-Slave.

The M8085A is a software plug-in for M8070A Bit Error Ratio Test system software within the M8000 series of BER test solutions. The M8085A software plug-in controls either the M8190A or the M8195A Arbitrary Waveform Generators to create C-PHY or D-PHY standard compliant test signals. In addition it provides routines for calibration of all signal parameters and for all tests specified in the applicable Conformance Test Suite. Together with the additional available DUT control interface it is possible to read the BER of the receiver under test from the M8070A software and display the BER dependency from test parameters within the M8070A user interface.
