The 40/42-860A-322 is a PXI/PXIe dual insert/bypass switch with MU connectors and is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. They are also available with an optional hardware interlock which, when activated, will return all optical switches to their default unpowered state.

NIU3E
The NIU3E is a small, rugged, low-power, self-contained multifunction I/O processing system preconfigured with 24-CH programmable Discrete I/O, 8-CH ARINC 429/575, 4-CH CANBus and 2-CH MIL-STD-1553 functions and incorporates an Ethernet switch module that offers four (4) 10GBase-SR multimode fiber optic ports and sixteen (16) 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports. The NIU3E can also be configured with one smart Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) function module. The NIU3E boasts a Dual or Quad Core ARM A53 processor for customer application and I/O and communications management. The NIU3E is configured with two 10/100/1000Base-T (GbE) Ethernet ports and an RS-232 port for maintenance / diagnostic or configuration interface. Ideally suited for rugged Mil-Aero applications, the NIU3E delivers off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems in air, land and sea applications.

The EDFA slot module of FOTS system with built-in power booster EDFA module offers a special function that is able to change the optical signal amplification feature variously, which is followed by user’s driving embedded pump LD freely. The output power of eash pump LD can be controlled separately by the program that is set up by user. When an optimum optical signal amplification particularity is needed, it is made up so that it can be materialized by choosing the Default mode provided along with User mode. More stable application of EDFA is possible through the monitoring of the factors such as in/out signal power, gain, alarm status and pump LD enabled by the application of FPGA processor which makes high speed driving possible. It is also set up that user’s present-time monitoring and control through LCD monitor of system main frame or GUI display for remote control can be possible. Through optimization of amplifier gain, noise figure, and saturated output power, this EDFA module will expand test capabilities in systems, components or sub-assembly manufacturing.
