The chassis provides precise, synchronized timing over the network using TSN, ideal for highly distributed measurements over long distances. The AD8-1500 series has one or two 1500 MS/sec 8-bit ADCs, 8GB of on-board memory and the ability to transfer data directly into the host computer's memory at over 1 GB/sec. Streaming to the host computer can be performed simultaneously with acquisition to on-board memory, increasing the effective acquisition length by using the host computer's memory. Dual channel boards sample concurrently at twice the input clock frequency, and can also be software selected to run in single channel mode, providing twice the effective memory depth.
