The thermo-hygrometer measures both humidity of the air and temperature of the air. The thermo-hygrometer measures different ranges of humidity and temperature depending on the model. The thermo-hygrometer is versatile in that it can take measurements, store them to memory and transfer data to a computer for further detailed analysis. The thermo-hygrometer usually offers contactless working which enables non-destructive measurements. The thermo-hygrometer is very useful in evaluating damage in a warehouse. Many warehouses need to be at an exact temperature, with a specific level of humidity. e.g. for flowers or food. A difference in temperature and / or humidity would mean that the stored products get damaged or even destroyed.In households, the temperature and humidity or moisture content is also important. The optimal environmental conditions for humans are around 20°C / 68°F and 50-65% air humidity. The 3000 Series are standard size units, including many with all welded construction, that are hermetically sealed for use in dirty and humid environments. The 5000 Series are smaller and lighter in weight than standard units. Characteristics are almost identical except that with miniature units higher natural frequencies and shock levels can be obtained due to their inherently reduced mass. Sensitivities, however are somewhat lower. High Temperature models are available that operate to +500°F. For best performance use with the Columbia Model 4601 Charge Amplifier or Model 5810 Inline Charge Converter.

The objective and field mirrors in the sample cell are gold plated to maximize signal to noise performance, while a temperature-controlled Nafion dryer on the inlet minimizes water interference caused by ambient humidity changes. Periodically, the T300U seamlessly corrects its baseline by routing the sample through a heated catalytic CO scrubber. This Auto Reference function corrects zero drift and reduces the effect of interferences.
