Scanning Electrochemical Systems
The VersaSCAN is a single platform capable of providing spatial resolution to both electrochemical and materials-based measurements. Each VersaSCAN is based on a common high-resolution, long-travel, closed-loop positioning system mounted to a vibration-resistant optical base. Different auxiliary pieces are mounted to the positioning system. These ancillary pieces (e.g., an electrometer, piezo vibration unit, or a laser sensor) provide functionality to the positioning system for different scanning probe experiments. VersaSTAT potentiostats and Signal Recovery Lock-in Amplifiers are integrated via ethernet control to make accurate measurements of these small signals.

40mA Multi-Channel Amplifier
For the precise nanometer movement of actuators and other piezo products, an amplifier is required. Multi-channel amplifiers allow you to control multiple actuators or piezo products with a single amplifier. The NV40/3 piezo amplifier was designed for controlling low voltage piezo elements. It includes a voltage amplifier, a display and a PC-interface. The high-resolution display shows the voltage of the actuator, along with the mode of operation and the temperature inside the amplifier.

Hydrophones
Piezo is a critical element in producing a hydrophone for military and commercial underwater listening applications. Hydrophones utilize piezoelectric elements to detect sound pressure waves produced by underwater vessels, animals, and the environment. Hydrophones must have a flat frequency response that is proportional to the magnitude of the sound pressure wave. CTS piezo elements provide this critical function in hydrophones by providing excellent frequency response and high coupling factors necessary in hydrophone applications.
