Reference Cells For PIV-IV Systems
NREL calibrated cell used for calibration transfer.The Abet Technologies solar reference cell is a precision instrument for the determination of solar simulator irradiance levels. The sensor is a mono-crystalline silicon solar cell having an area of2x2cm(4cm).The back of the solar cell is attached to the device in such a way that a good heat transfer to the device housing is guaranteed. Below the solar cell a Pt100 RTD temperature sensor is mounted to allow monitoring of device temperature. The device is not shunted allowing the whole IV-curve to be measured. The solar cell is protected by a high quality fused silica window, assuring spectral sensitivity over a 320 -1100 nm range.

The SC-20 streak camera system is characterized by its large detection area of 35 mm x 4 mm and a large usable screen diagonal of 40 mm. Signals are mapped onto the fiber optic input window and measured without the need for optical reduction. In the simplest case, the entrance optics consists of a slit mask that lies directly on the entrance window. In addition, a flexible extension with a shutter, a lens mount or an adjustable slot with coupling optics is possible. WinFT is our proprietary software which makes D&P instruments so functional and easy to winft1_largeuse. Based on the Windows operating system, this software provides simple and intuitive control of the instrument. All of the usual File functions are available, as well as controls over instrument settings such as resolution, apodization, zero-fill and number of coadds. Display options enable the user to display interferograms, spectra or both, as well as to adjust plot scales and units. Onboard math processing allows for real-time calculation of ratio, difference, and absorbance, and when using our calibrated hot-cold blackbody calibrators, the ability to measure calibrated radiance. Further, WinFT offers the ability to measure sample temperature in the radiance function by matching a Planck to the calibrated radiance. With the gold diffuse plate, the software can also compute and display absolute emissivity of samples. Our software also enables exporting of data files, now made even easier with our USB and LAN connections. In addition, the software has been designed to be easily run using the keyboard function keys and single letter commands, making the use of a mouse in the field optionalas well as minimizing key strokes when taking measurements in the field.

The CNR 4 net radiometer consists of a pyranometer pair, one facing upward, the other facing downward, and a pyrgeometer pair in a similar con?guration. The pyranometer pair measures the short-wave radiation. And the pyrgeometer pair measures long-wave radiation. The upper long-wave detector of CNR 4 has a meniscus dome. This ensures that water droplets role off easily and improves the field of view to nearly 180, compared with a 150 for a flat window.
