Quantum Sensors
-
Apogee offers two types of quantum sensors. The Full-spectrum Quantum Sensors feature an improved detector that provides accurate measurements under all light sources, including LEDs, right out of the box. The Original Quantum Sensor is less expensive and great for measuring all light sources except certain LED colors, where post-measurement correction factors need to be applied to achieve accurate readings.

Underwater Quantum Sensor
LI-192
-
The LI-192 Underwater Quantum Sensor measures PAR from all angles in one hemisphere. The LI-192 works in air or underwater at depths up to 560 meters. The measurements are cosine corrected and typically expressed as Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD). For simultaneous measurements of downwelling and upwelling PAR, two sensors can be mounted on the 2009S Lowering Frame.

QE system provides electronics and software designed for fully automated measurement of external quantum efficiency of solar cells. All systems include probes and a fixed plate sample stage for samples up to 150 mm x 150 mm. The main system components include: custom designed software, measurement electronics, and computer system (Windows 8 operating system). The measurement involves focusing monochromatic light to a spot on the device under test, then accurately measuring the photon flux and current from the test cell. The system utilizes a dual beam configuration with lock-in detection, providing an absolute accuracy of ±3%. The QE system uses a grating monochrometer with silicon/InGaAs/Ge detectors. The system includes automatic order sorting filters and two light sources for monochromatic illumination (a Xenon- arc lamp and a halogen lamp). A single lock-in amplifier is used to measure both the reference detector and test device. The main system comes with all the hardware needed to measure quantum efficiency, a fixed plate sample stage and probes.

Absolute Quantum Gravimeter
-
The Absolute Quantum Gravimeter is the only quantum gravity sensor available on the market place. Thanks to its disruptive technology, this instrument offers unique features:*Absolute gravity measurement at the µGal level.*Automated Continuous Data Acquisition for several months. No long-term drift.*Excellent immunity to ground vibrations thanks to an active compensation system (no mechanical isolation).*Easy and quick operation : the AQG is ready to measure within 1h (no laser alignment nor mechanical assembling, no preliminary pumping, no superspring). User-friendly software requiring no knowledge in quantum physics.*Compact and transportable sensor.*Low maintenance constraints (in particular, no moving parts in our vacuum chamber).*Station to station repeatability of the absolute measurement within a few μGal.

Quantum Gravimeter
-
The quantum gravimeter, the first commercial device of its kind in the UK, uses quantum interference of matter waves to measure the local value of gravitational acceleration, or ‘g’, with very high precision. Objects with different mass cause small fluctuations in the value of g measured on the surface of the Earth. The quantum gravimeter can be used to sense these objects hidden under the surface in a non-intrusive manner.

Quantum Accelerometer
-
A quantum accelerometer uses atom interferometry to measure accelerations along a horizontal axis. Quantum accelerometers are able to achieve a combination of sensitivity and stability by exploiting quantum interference. As such, they will be critical components of a quantum inertial navigation unit, which will offer satellite-free navigation with unparalleled long-term accuracy. A phase locked SolsTiS system underpins this setup and provides the extremely low phase noise required to make high sensitivity measurements and dynamic frequency tunability to address multiple atomic transitions.
