ABB's magnetic level gauge switches for point level alarm and/or control can mount to a KM26 magnetic level gauge or an LS Series cage level switch.These switches are completely isolated from the process fluid as they are magnetically activated by a magnet equipped float (KM26) or attraction sleeve (LS Series). The unique magnetic coupling action eliminates seals, diaphragms, springs, and torque tubes common to other level switching alternatives since there is no physical contact with the process fluid. The magnetic coupling also eliminates process connections to the switch; therefore, no isolation valves are required to block off the switch for maintenance. The switch "set point" is easily adjustable without changing any process piping and the result is a more reliable and easier way to maintain level system.

Combining a calibrated half-wave dipole antenna and a highly accurate tuned voltmeter with a range of 140 dB, the FIM-72A is suitable for practically all types of RF emission measurements in the 450 MHz to 960 MHz spectrum. The operator can switch select wide or narrow bandwidth, peak or average value of TV or pulse modulated signals, AM or FM demodulation, and meter dynamic range of either 20 dB or 60 dB. A dc analog voltage, proportional to meter indication, is provided for driving a chart recorder or similar device. A leveled output from the calibrating generator is available for measuring cable insertion loss, filter response, amplifier gain, VSWR, and other signal ratio measurements.
