The ITS-7025 Temperature Sensor was developed to monitor the temperature of liquid-cooled klystron amplifiers. The sensor is designed to clamp directly to the cooling pipe and provide an analog voltage output from 0 to 10 VDC corresponding to 0 to 100 degC with 2 degC accuracy. Two analog outputs are provided; one for connection to a remote data acquisition system, and a second for local service monitoring. A single +28 VDC (other voltages available) powers the sensor which draws less than 100 uA.

The integrated Bluetooth module in the evaluation kit, the PAN1740, draws 4.9mA in transmit or receive operating modes, which means it can be powered by coin cell batteries. The IR sensor has 64 thermopile elements in an 8×8 grid format that detect absolute surface temperature without any contact.
