In order to obtain an accurate comparison, the tests need to be performed using identical test parameters. Consequently, any deviation and change in the test results may indicate the circuit breaker condition deterioration. Even more, to overcome this issue, DV-Win enables test plans and graph overlay features.Finally, as a final result of a circuit breaker maintenance process, the DV-Win provides analytical tools and customized report creations.

The Signal● Current from the Tx is at about 10kHz. The Transmitter is powered by the mains and requires no batteries.● The 10kHz signal current generated by the Transmitter is then searched(sniffed) by the Receiver to detect the Fuse, Circuit Breaker or the faulty circuit.● The Receiver is a tuned circuit which has it's center frequency tuned to about 10kHz. The CT-7000 S3 is Vanguard’s fourth generation EHV circuit breaker analyzer. The CT-7000 S3 is available with 3 (part number 9021-UC) or 6 contact timing channels (part number 9100-UC). The CT-7000 S3 can fully analyze a circuit breaker’s performance by measuring the main contact and resistor contact time, stroke, velocity, over-travel, bounce back and contact wipes. Both contact and motion analysis can be performed on all circuit breaker operations (OPEN, CLOSE, OPEN-CLOSE, CLOSE-OPEN, and OPEN CLOSE-OPEN). The CT-7000 S3’s timing window is selectable between 1 second, 10 seconds, and 20 seconds.

The PI-1600 Circuit Breaker Tester incorporates modular design and flexibility to provide unequaled capability in a portable package. The PI-1600 test set is two testers in one, incorporating the PI-800 and PI-AUX. The PI-800 section can be used alone, on 120 or 240 VAC supplies, generating continuous current of 400, 800, amps at 4.2 kVA, with peak output to over 10x. When configured for the PI-1600, the PI-AUX output unit is connected in series or parallel to the PI-800. The PI-AUX boosts total power to 9.8KVA, and allows testing of draw-out breakers and MCB’s to 1600 Amps. The units are housed in rugged interlocking suitcase-size enclosures. Each piece weighs no more than 125 pounds, allowing one-person hand truck mobility. Basic operation is very simple, and the proven MAC-21 control instrumentation provides optimal output control and measurement. The MAC-21 instrumentation is supplied in a separate rugged portable case, interlocks on top of the PI-800, and connects to a cable in the rear of the test set.
