128-Crosspoint, 2-Wire PXI Matrix Switch Module—The PXIe‑2529 is a high‐density PXI matrix switch module that you can configure as either a 4x32 or an 8x16 2‑wire matrix by using different terminal block accessories. It uses electromechanical relays that offer excellent performance for high-power signals and low thermal offset for accurate measurements at low-voltage levels. The PXIe‑2529 also features onboard relay counting for relay monitoring and deterministic operation with hardware triggers to improve test throughput.

The Keysight 87406B matrix switch provides the life and reliability required for automated test and measurement, signal monitoring and routing applications. Innovative design and careful process control creates a switch that meets the requirements for highly repeatable switching elements in test instruments and switching interfaces. The switch is designed to operate for more than 10 million cycles and will meet all electrical specifications for at least 5 million cycles. This module has 16 single pole relays arranged as an 8x2 matrix as shown in the figure to the left. The matrix may be operated and wired individually for up to 16 8x2's per chassis, or jumpered to the backplane to form up to a 128x2 matrix. It is available with Type S or M reed relays for high speed, long life application. These modules are usually used for 2 wire testing where high and low meter leads must be switched between any two points. Often used for 2 wire LCR meter measurements, cable testing, or open / short testing in a variety of applications.
