Its extended rear access (long rear end) brings relay connections closer to the block for neater, more efficient cabling and flush panel integration.

Full band phase shifters are micrometer-driven, waveguide-based phase shifters. The configuration of the micrometer-driven phase shifters is similar to that of level setting attenuators, where the phase shifting is caused by an E-plane dielectric insert in the rectangular waveguide. The amount of phase shifting is directly dependent on the volume of the insert. The VSWR and the insertion loss of these phase shifters are dependent on the frequency.
