Computer on Modules and System on Modules are complete embedded computers with a computer processor, chipset, memory, and peripherals designed into a single board with a small footprint. They integrate the complete functions of a computer in to a single module. Both COMs and SOMs are types of single board computers except the fact that both of these are required to be mounted on a carrier board/base board which breaks the bus out to standard peripheral connectors as COM/SOM lacks the standard connectors for any input/output peripherals to be attached directly to the board. Carrier boards can implement special I/O interfaces, additional memory devices, and connectors according to the application requirements. The 40-616 16-Bank, 5-Channel, 1-Pole Multiplexer Module forms part of the System 40 PXI Programmable Switching system. The Module consists of 16 electrically isolated banks of multiplexers controlled by a PXI/ PCI interface. Each bank is a 1 to 5 multiplexer and operates with break-before-make action when a new channel is selected. Any Individual multiplexer bank can have a channel set by itself, alternatively, multiple banks can have channels selected simultaneously. The module is suitable for cascading in applications that require large multiplexer systems, it is also suitable for test systems that require the switching of a large number of signals in parallel.

Wide mechanical tuning bandwidth Gunn oscillators utilize high performance GaAs Gunn diodes and various cavity designs to yield near full band frequency coverage. Unlike dual-tuner oscillators, frequency and power optimization are accomplished by a single micrometer. Furthermore, these oscillators can be modified into electrically tunable oscillators by replacing the micrometer with an electrical actuator. The wide tuning bandwidth of these oscillators offers a low cost, high performance means of signal generation, making them ideal test sources for labs and antenna ranges. While standard models offer a waveguide interface, a coaxial interface is also available. When used with a Gunn oscillator regulator/modulator (SOR series), these oscillators can produce AM or FM modulated signals for many test applications.
