NJ-SERVO Series
The NJ-SERVO electric motor driven actuator utilizes an electric motor drive system. High accuracy test control is enabled by a special servo motor and stroke displacement measurement sensor. In addition, the system configuration is simpler in comparison to hydraulic actuators, so it is easy to maintain, and achieves power savings and space savings. This system accommodates a wide range of tests with a high degree of expandability. Thomson introduces our Electrak Pro Series of linear actuators. This family stands alone when it comes to the toughest and most demanding applications. Available in 12 or 24 VDC models with customizable stroke lengths up to 300 mm (12 in), these units can push or pull loads up to 4448 N (1000 lbf) at speeds of 20 mm/s (0.8 in/s) and hold loads up to 9000 N (2000 lbf), or contact our factory for longer strokes or higher loads. When space is scarce, where dust, dirt, and water are abundant and when solid, reliable and maintenance-free operation is a must - Electrak Pro is the answer.

Thomson now offers a small, lightweight line of 24 VDC units in its DCG family of controls. The DCG controls feature built-in Electronic Limit Switches (ELS) to stop actuator movement automatically at a mid-stroke stall point and end of the stroke. CQ
The CQ range provides an innovative fully-concentric and balanced actuator design for quarter-turn valves. The design features a helical mechanism that transforms linear piston motion into quarter-turn valve stem rotation. CQ actuators provide a much higher torque output for a given footprint than scotch yoke designs typically utilised to operate many quarter-turn valve types. It is therefore ideally suited for installation in confined spaces. Further, Rotork’s unique helical pin design provides higher efficiency than a helical gear mechanism utilised by other valve actuator manufacturers.As standard, the CQ torque output profile, like that of a scotch yoke actuator, is engineered to parallel the torque demand profile typically found with popular quarter-turn valve types. The CQ design however is unique in that the torque profile can be custom engineered and manufactured to meet specific, non-standard valve torque requirements.In our experience, the CQ standard range of sizes is suitable for applications that require a pneumatically powered actuator with torque demand less than 150,000 Nm. However, we also engineer CQ actuators with greater output and/or hydraulic power. Please apply to Rotork for these applications.
