Conventional structural test data systems use few to several hundred sensors. Cables bundles can be complex and confusing resulting in setup errors. Sensors with TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) allow for an internal sensor digital chip to store sensor information. This information contains descriptive identifiers that when connected to a TEDS compatible signal conditioner or data system, reads the descriptive information and automatically aligns the data system. Signal IsolatorsDatexel manufacture a large range of Signal Isolators. The DAT511 is a loop powered isolator with 3000 V galvanic isolation between the input and output. It is a 2 wire device so there is no external wiring. The DAT511H is similar but is Hart compatible. The DAT4035 is a universal input signal (Thermocouples, RTD's, mV, Volts, mA, resistance and potentiometers) conditioner with 2000 V isolation between the input and output and it is PC programmable. It is a 2 wire loop powered device. The DAT4135 is similar but it is a 4 wire device so it has the ability to boost the output or provide a voltage output.

The M2T half-rack transmitter houses two stereo transmitters to provide two stereo audio channels, and for up to four mono audio channels in a single rack space. The audio inputs can be individually configured to be analog or Dante compatible. The analog input connectors are full-size XLR/TRS combo types for balanced line-level analog signals while the input preamp circuits use a special balanced amplifier with very high common mode rejection to minimize hum and noise. A Dante™ Ultimo™ interface via dual RJ45 connectors accepts Dante networked audio inputs and can daisy chain the digital stream to additional units via CAT6 cables. An additional RJ45 jack provides an Ethernet connection for programming and control via Wireless Designer™ software and a USB jack on the front panel allows for firmware updates. The transmitter features a full color, backlit LCD for high visibility in any environment, while the chassis is all-metal and can be racked singly or in pairs using included rack mount hardware.
