Standard Digitizer
725S Family
The 725S family is a digitizer capable of recording waveforms along with performing advanced algorithms for online digital pulse processing (DPP). Utilizing DPP Firmware, users can acquire quantitative physical parameters (Integrated Charge, Pulse Shape Discrimination with very fine time resolution, Pulse Height Analysis) as well as read out waveforms with automatic pulse identification and baseline suppression on channel basis (Zero-Length Encoding and Dynamic Acquisition Window). Clock Synchronization
Analog Devices Clock synchronizers are designed for wired networking applications, providing the clock redundancy functionality needed to maximize system uptime. Our technology supports clock synchronization with common standards, including 1 pulse per second (PPS) output signal from a GPS receiver. GPS signals are broadly available and utilize an extremely stable atomic clock as its time base, but they are often noisy. Systems rely on the IEEE1588 timing protocol to establish synchronous communications across the wired network, including synchronous Ethernet and synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) to optical transport network (OTN) mapping/demapping. The IEEE1588 protocol has emerged as the preferred method for Clock synchronizing systems throughout both computer networks and local area networks (LAN).

With reconfigurable I/O (RIO) technology (CompactRIO only), you can use the LabVIEW FPGA Module to program the NI‑9403 for applications such as custom, high-speed counter/timers; digital communication protocols; and pulse generation. In a CompactDAQ chassis, you can use the NI‑9403 only as a static (software-timed) digital I/O module. You cannot use these modules to route timing or triggering signals.

Pulsed Laser Deposition
Is a versatile thin film deposition technique. A pulsed laser (~20 ns pulse width) rapidly evaporates a target material forming a thin film that retains target composition. This unique ability of stoichiometeric transfer of target composition into the film was realized first by the research team led by Dr. Venkatesan at Bell Communications Research, NJ, USA, nearly 30 years ago while depositing high temperature superconducting (YBa2Cu3O7) thin films. Since then, PLD has become the preferred deposition technique where ever thin films of complex material compositions are considered. Another unique feature of PLD is its ability for rapid prototyping of materials. The energy source (pulsed laser) being outside the deposition chamber, facilitates a large dynamic range of operating pressures (10-10 Torr to 500 Torr) during material synthesis. By controlling the deposition pressure and substrate temperature and using relatively small target sizes, a variety of atomically controlled nano-structures and interfaces can be prepared with unique functionalities.
