If used in differential mode each two inputs are connected together reducing the number of available channels by half. The 16 bit vertical resolution have four times the accuracy compared to 14 bit cards and sixteen times the accuracy if compared with a 12 bit card. Loop-Powered Transmitters convert the output from proximity probes, seismic sensors, into a 4-20mA DC current, which is proportional to the input being measured. The transmitter converts the displacement or vibration signal to DC voltage and/or current for a DCS or PLC system.
