Binary BCD Converters
Computer Conversions Corporation
The BCD Series of BCD to Binary Converters will convert 4 digits of scaled BCD angle data with a full scale of 359.9degrees into 12 Bits of binary angle data (MSB=180degrees). These units are entirely digital, require no timing or control signals and do this conversion in less than 500 nano-seconds. Logic levels are TTL/DTL compatable and +5V DC power is required. They are packaged in a 2.6 x 3.1 x .82" H PC board mounting module.

The TIA-4000 is comprised of a fibre coupled InGaAs APD detector combined with a variable reverse bias voltage network and fast transimpedance amplifier. The output of the unit is brought out to a type K female SMA connector. Light falling on the detector generates a positive-going proportional current. This current, multiplied by the transimpedance produces a voltage that is proportional to the light incident on the detector surface.

ADLINK's NuDAM data acquisition modules make up a total acquisition network and control system. Up to 256 NuDAM modules an be romotely controlled on any RS-485 network from a host computer, via a single serial RS-232, allowing communication from as far as 4000 feet from the host. Reducing the signal transition-times also increases the overall pulse-performance for overshoot/reflection sensitive applications. The converters are fitted with SMA connectors, one male, one female. These converters have been designed to convert the fixed transition-times of the Keysight 8133A 3 GHz timing generator (<100 ps transitions) to slower, fixed transition-times (150 ps, 250 ps, 500 ps, 1 ns, 2 ns) hence reducing the signal bandwidth. All transition-times are from 10% to 90% of amplitude.

The IRIG-B TTL signal is a time synchronization protocol that can be transmitted up to 50m maximum using coaxial cable. So the relay which is to be received the IRIG-B TTL signal may be far away from the IRIG-B source. The relay may be not able to synchronize with the GPS. To avoid such an incident in the field, some of the relays have provision to receive IRIG-B RS485 signal. The IRIG-B RS485 signal can able travel up to 1200m without any booster.
