The 6-slot VXI portable rack is intended for use in modular measurement information systems based on the VXI version of the standard. The 6-slot portable VXI crate is designed to accommodate the system module, in the first slot and VXI instrumental modules placed in the remaining slots, to provide their electrical power supply, as well as to provide information interconnection via the VXIbus bus between the modules and with the control computer. The chassis meets the requirements of GOST R 51884-2002 and the document System Specification VXI-1 Revision 1.4.

The IIB-1553-VXI-4C is an intelligent interface card which provides 4 independent channels for full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis functions on the VXI bus. All 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants are supported. Each independent channel may be operated as a concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with a windowed Bus Monitor (BM), or as a stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. Each channel provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface, with 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM. The board is supplied with C drivers in source code and Windows menu driven software as standard.

80 Channel Relay Switch

DP-VXI-4503 is a 80 channel, one Form C (SPDT) relay switch designed as a C size VXI module. This high density switch module is designed with a register based interface occupying only one VXI slot. This module uses two Form ‘C’ relay switches. Out of the two contacts in each relay, one is used to provide the status of the relay through read back and the other is used for switching purpose.The user can write the command for the selected channels on to the primary latch of the FPGA section. Readback is available to confirm the selected commands. On command, the data from the primary latch is transferred to the secondary latch. The relay driver section provides the necessary drive to switch ON the relays. The buffers in this section drive the relay coils.This module features a back plane trigger for VXI triggered operation. On receipt of the back plane trigger the programmed relays will be energised/de-energised. Alternatively, software trigger can be used.

The input level selection for 5 (TTL / CMOS compatible), 12, 24 or 48V is made through on-board jumper selection. The debounce feature is programmable for a period of 2msec to 2147 sec. in binary increments. Channel groups 1 to 32, 33 to 64, 65 to 96 and 97 to 128 can each have a unique programmed debounce period, provided the ratio of clock period between groups does not exceed 32,768.

The RP-708 is a two-channel ARINC 708 weather radar display data bus PMC module interface, supporting variable frame sizes for embedded applications, simulation and test. Abaco Systems provides integrated support for this module on PCI, PCIe, CompactPCI, VME, VXI and native PMC platforms. Each RP-708 channel can be configured as two transmit channels, two receive channels, or one transmit channel and one receive channel simultaneously.
