The Three-axis Fluxgate Magnetometer TFM1186 is a member of Metrolab's THM1176 family of 3-axis handheld magnetometers. It is a lightweight, low-power, go-anywhere fluxgate magnetometer. Outstanding noise characteristics make fluxgate magnetometers the instrument of choice for measuring minute disturbances in the local magnetic field, for example due to an iron mass or AC power-line noise. The TFM1186 has a range of ±100 µT and a resolution of 4 nT. The devices are divided into 2 kinds: normal gain version and high gain version. Both versions provide 4 programmable input ranges for bipolar and unipolar inputs. The A/D on the PCI-9114DG device features a sampling rate of 100 kS/s with resolution at 16 bits, while PCI-9114A-DG/HG device features a sampling rate of up to 250kS/s with resolution at 16 bits. Multiplexer Modules for 34980A
The 34980A Multiplexer switches can be used to connect one of many different points to a single point. You can connect to an external instrument or switch multiple analog signals to the 34980A internal DMM. Multiple multiplexers can be connected together via the 4 analog buses to create an even larger multiplexer. The break-before-make feature also ensures that no two signals are connected to each other during a scan. All multiplexer modules also include a relay switch counter to help predict when relays need to be replaced.
