Furthermore, Hoffmann + Krippner’s ultra-thin, fully-sealed, and easily customized Sensofoil® membrane potentiometers can fit into restricted installation conditions and offer extremely long lifecycles. Similarly, Hoffmann + Krippner SensoInk® allow us to create polymer potentiometers that combine the advantages of PET (flexibility and cost) with high-strength polymer pastes that can surpass the lifecycles of other PET-based potentiometer products.

The membrane potentiometer based on PET film is an interesting alternative for operating temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C. Compared to standardized complete systems, the H+K potentiometers can easily be adapted to existing machines and applications in the design phase. The compact design of only 0.5mm height makes the membrane potentiometer by H+K an ideal solution for restricted installation conditions. Sensofoil® PET-PET offers an unbeatable cost-advantage for a fully sealed system that can easily be adapted to virtually any customer requirements – whether linear, rotary or custom shapes.

Sensofoil® Membrane Potentiometer
Sensofoil® PET-Hybrid

Based on the Sensofoil® PET-PET, the new generation of Sensofoil® PET-Hybrid was developed to withstand high temperatures. A flexible metal strip is integrated into the potentiometer, preventing permanent deformations or “dents”, making it operational at temperatures of up to +85°C. Deformations typically occur starting at +55°C or due to prolonged, static pressure resulting from wiper inactivity. Sensofoil® PET-Hybrid is often applied in the automotive industry, aerospace applications and industrial applications experiencing high operating temperatures.
