Compact Receiver Module
MixAMC-I
Virginia Diodes'' standard Spectrum Analyzer Extension Modules (SAXs) provide high performance broadband down-conversion and frequency extension of microwave specturm analyzers into the THz range. VDI now offers integrated MixAMC modules that provide industry leading performance in a compact package. These integrated MixAMC modules are used to down-convert millimeter-wave / THz signals only. Spectrum Analyzer Extension mode is not currently available for the MixAMC-I products. Integrated MixAMC modules utilize a low frequency LO input (<20 GHz) and have a seprate IF output port. Integrated MixAMC modules configured for high IF bandwidth may be available upon request.

Vector Network Analyzer Extenders
VNAX
VDI''s VNA Extenders deliver high performance network analyzer frequency extension into the THz range. Models cover 50 GHz to 1,100GHz with additional bands in development. VDI modules come in a variety of form factors and configurations including our original Standard-size Modules and new Mini Modules that reduce volume up to 75%. In addition to our full Transceiver (TxRx) modules, VDI also offers Transmit-Reference (TxRef) modules and Receive only (Rx) modules that deliver optimized performance for specific applications. These modules combine high test port power and exceptional dynamic range to deliver industry leading performance. They are compatible with most network analyzers and can be integrated into probe stations and antenna chambers.

Directional Couplers

Band Pass Filters
VDI offers up-converter modules for communication applications. The double sideband nature of the up-converter modules makes filtering necessary. VDI has designed filters to filter one sideband and preserve signal modulation. These filters offer low passband insertion loss and high out-of-band rejection. Custom filters may be available upon request. NRE (non-recurring engineering) fee may be required.

Signal Generator Extension Modules
SGX
Virginia Diodes, Inc. (VDI) Signal Generator Extension (SGX) modules provide high performance frequency extension of microwave signal generators into the THz range. VDI SGX modules offer full waveguide band coverage and are available from WR15 (50 to 75 GHz) to WR1.0 (750 to 1100 GHz) with additional bands under development. This turn-key, sweepable solution is compatible with any microwave signal generator that meets the input frequency and power requirements.

Frequency Multipliers (WR and D Series)
VDI offers a broad range of millimeter-wave varistor mode, passive frequency multipliers based on planar GaAs Schottky diode technology. Frequency doublers and triplers are used to extend the frequency coverage of microwave and millimeter-wave sources.

Compact Converters
Virginia Diodes offers compact converters (CCs) for frequency up and down-conversion. These converters are easy to use and well suited for high performance up and down conversion of wide band modulated millimeter-wave signals. VDI CCs offer full waveguide band coverage and are available from WR28 (22.5-40 GHz) to WR2.2 (330-500 GHz) with additional CCs under development.
