nanoSynth® Integrated 6 GHz SMT Synthesizer
Nano Series
The SC800 nanoSynth® is a fully integrated broadband CW signal synthesizer that combines multiple PLL, DDS, and frequency dividers into a rugged and miniature 2”x1” surface mountable package. The output frequency range is 25 MHz to 6 GHz with average output power of +10 dBm. Tuning at 1 Hz resolution, the multiple PLL architecture eliminates close-in phase spurs that are associated with fractional-N PLLs. To simplify user communication with the device, an onboard microprocessor performs all necessary computations to control and set the output frequency, reducing the number and complexity of instruction registers.

20 GHz Signal Source
VCO Series
The SC5510A and SC5511A are VCO-based, synthesized signal sources with very low phase noise and an amplitude control of 0.01 dB throughout its -30 dBm to +15 dBm output power range. By utilizing a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -70 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution. These 20 GHz signal sources include an additional, independent RF2 channel with a tunable frequency range from 100 MHz to 3 GHz and a tuning resolution of 25 MHz. The extra channel makes the modules suitable for either single-stage RF conversion systems or dual-stage image suppression up/down converter systems. Both modules make great general-purpose laboratory signal sources where demanding low phase noise and signal purity are required. They are both ideal choices as an integrated clock source for fast DAC and ADC applications, especially those that require variable sampling rates. 10 GHz Signal Source
YIG Series
The SC5503B and SC5502A are designed to meet demanding low phase noise applications. This is accomplished by employing a multiple phase-locked loop architecture as well as a YIG oscillator as the heart of its synthesizer. Frequency accuracy is provided by an onboard 10 MHz temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) which can be phase locked to an external reference source if required. These modules can be used as standalone CW signal sources or as LO sources for frequency conversion systems such as the SignalCore IQ modulators and demodulators. They are designed to meet the requirements of many modern applications such as wireless device testing, software-defined radio research, point-to-point radio, multi-channel coherent systems, and other academic and military programs.
