This test is carried out with power factor between 0.95 and 1 with the sequence operation being O-t-CO-t-CO-t-CO with timings as specified in 9.12.11.1.

PC Based High Current Test Set for Circuit Breakers and Temperature Rise Test Equipment
This equipment comprises of high current source for testing of circuit breakers with additional facility for temperature rise testing (thus incorporating testing for moulded case, vacuum & air circuit breakers as per IEC 60947-2). The system integrates a servo controlled source with closed loop current feedback to maintain the current constant. It has the necessary instrumentation for maintaining current at full load & other conditions arising in testing at high current. The bench has a PC based control system with temperature data logger (24 channel with ch-ch isolation amplifiers). The data logger displays as well as stores a set of temperature values with time.

High Voltage Tester For Hair Dryer & Hair Straightner
Every electrical apparatus or machine consists of two distinct sections - one which carries the electricity, and other which is isolated (insulated) from the electric currents. The former may be called the `Live' side whiles the latter `Earth’ side. A person near about the apparatus or handling it can safely touch the Earth side, but not the live side, for obvious reasons. To ensure that the isolation of the two sections is effected properly, the apparatus is tested by subjecting it to a Voltage much higher than the normal working Voltage. If the insulation is good, it stands the test without breakdown otherwise high electrical stress punctures the insulation at its weakest spot foretelling a later calamity to unwary user. Earth Contact Resistance Tester
SCR ELEKTRONIKS have developed an equipment namely Earth Contact Resistance Tester to test the appliance. To ensure the safety of operator it is essential that the Earth path (connection) should offer minimum impedance to by pass short circuit Current to Earth. This is ensured by measuring Resistance of the Earth path by passing heavy Current say 25 A. The Earth Contact Resistance Tester essentially comprises of a Variable Current source with digital Ammeter to measure the Current supplied. The Voltage drop across the Earth path is measured with a digital Voltmeter. Optionally for a particular Current (25 A) the meter can be calibrated in terms of Resistance. A timer is provided to switch off the Current after the Set Time.
