APPLICOS
Applicos was founded in 1993 and develops advanced instruments to simulate and measure electrical signals. Research labs use them to test their experiments, standard organizations use the equipment for calibration, and chip manufacturers use the devices in automated tests to track down errors. Major research institutes also have a keen interest in this highly specialized technology. Within the European Union’s Quantum Accurate ADC project (QuADC), Applicos’ engineers are developing equipment to digitize signals for a quantum-based real-time voltage measurement system.

16-Bit Digitizer
PA72D16180A
The PA72D16180A is a 16-bit digitizer, capable of capturing waveforms at speeds up to 180Msps. An onboard offset voltage source allows capturing offset signals while still using the optimal range for maximum ADC utilization. Two onboard filters allow suppression of out-of-band noise. The 64MWord onboard memory enables capturing very long waveforms, or sequentially capturing multiple signals with minimal intermediate bus communication.

Digital Source Capture Unit
DIO2
The DIO-II module is a multimode digital source and capture unit. In Low Speed Mode it provides a 20-bit parallel or 24-bit serial I/O capability running at speeds up to 50 MHz. In High Speed Mode, the DIO-II provides a 16-bit parallel I/O capability up to 200 MHz. In both Modes, the Clock is generated by a low jitter PLL source that is capable of generating clocks from 320 kHz up to 1 GHz.

16 Bit / 400 MS/s Arbitrary Waveform Generator
AWG16
The AWG16 is a 16 bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator for high-speed / high resolution waveform generation. The fully differential signal path from the DAC all the way to the outputs ensures an exceptional high signal quality. Despite the emphasis on signal quality the AWG16 also has a very good DC accuracy.

14-Bit Digitizer
PA72D14130
The PA72D14130 is a 14-bit digitizer, capable of capturing waveforms at speeds up to 130Msps.

Dual-Channel Power Supply
DPS16
The DPS16 is a dual-channel power supply with very low output noise and no ripple. The output current can be up to 200 mA and has a programmable current limit. The 4 wire capability provides an excellent load regulation. Because the DPS16 is a fully linear design the output noise is exceptionally low while there are no ripple components as usually seen with switched mode designs. The unit has voltage and current read back on both channels with 16-bit resolution.

Band Pass Filter
PA72BPF
The PA72BPF daughter board is an additional filter board. It typically contains two selectable differential 3rd order elliptic band pass filters. These filter modules are tailored by Applicos to the customers’ requirements. The filters can be used to filter the output signal of the generator daughter boards to achieve an even better distortion and noise suppression.
